GCitrus

Running GCitrus

GCitrus is a simple GNOME/GTK tool for converting a single number from one set of units to another. The program is named gcitrus.

To perform a conversion, simply type a number and its units (separated by a space) into the text entry named "Quantity" at the top of the window. Then, enter the units you would like this number converted into in the "Convert To:" entry. A typical use might be to convert 32.2 ft./s^2 into m/s^2. Try entering the example like this:

	Quantity: 32.2 ft. / s^2
	Convert To: m / s^2

Once you've entered both items, 9.81456 m / s^2 should appear in the "Result" entry.

If you would like to see the units that are available to you, click on the "Dimensional Groups" tab. The units are grouped by the type of thing they quantify. For instance, "meter" and "inch" will both be listed under "length". Clicking on one of the symbols to the left of a group name will show you all of the units for that dimensional group. If there is no symbol to the left of a group, that means that there aren't any units configured for it.
